Why the construction of socialist culture with Chinese characteristics should adhere to the attitude of critically inheriting and carrying forward

The formation and development of culture has a historical inheritance, the construction of socialist culture with Chinese characteristics cannot be separated from the tradition of our national culture, and the necessary ideological materials must be inherited from our traditional culture, for which we should be guided by Marxism, and critically inherit the traditional culture of our country, so as to make our traditional culture continue to be carried forward and flourish in the new era. China's traditional culture is indeed a complex structure, with both the culture of the landlord class and the culture of the working people; the culture of the landlord class has a duality, and so does the culture of the working people. Even some of those cultural concepts which carry the universal requirements of the whole nation have dualities. Therefore, the traditional culture of our country should be analyzed specifically and scientifically, to distinguish which is the essence and which is the dregs, and then take the essence and remove the dregs, in order to serve the construction of socialist culture with Chinese characteristics.
