Zhang Wenyu's former residence is located in Huaguang Lane, Chicheng Street, Chengguan Town. Zhang Wenyu (1578- 1655), a native of Maoyuan (now E Huan) in Tiantai, Tai Su, was an assistant minister of the Ministry of Industry in the Ming Dynasty. He was ordered to supervise the renovation of the Imperial Palace, the Central Hall and the Taiji Hall of the Forbidden City. After resigning and returning to China, he wrote Du Yuting.

Zhang Wenyu's former residence was built in the late Ming Dynasty. The original building of the former residence is large in scale and is called the authentic place of the 18th National Congress. The existing building covers an area of 265,438+043 square meters and consists of Du Yuting, Laizilou and Sanyi Pavilion. The courtyard is also dotted with rockeries, fish ponds and small bridges. It is a residential building with garden characteristics.
