Why should we carry out the reform of coal-electricity integration?

It is reported that recently, China Guodian Corporation and Shenhua Group Co., Ltd. merged and reorganized into National Energy Investment Group Co., Ltd. With the convening of the inaugural meeting of reorganization, National Energy Group was formally established on June 28, and 165438+ a new energy central enterprise "aircraft carrier" was born.

According to the report, before the reorganization, Shenhua Group was a comprehensive energy group with integrated development of coal, electricity, roads, ports and aviation. Guodian Group, which focuses on electricity, is one of the five largest power generation groups in China. The total installed scale of wind power is the largest in the world, and it has obvious technical advantages in the fields of ultra-low emission of thermal power, desulfurization and denitrification.

In recent years, with the increase of coal production capacity, coal prices have risen, and correspondingly, the operating conditions of power generation enterprises have been affected. Data from the National Energy Administration show that in the first three quarters, China's coal mining and dressing industry realized a profit of 226.2 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.2 times. In sharp contrast, in the first three quarters, the electricity and thermal power production and supply industries realized a profit of 259.3 billion yuan, down 23.7% year-on-year.

After the integration of coal and electricity, the integration of upstream and downstream elements in the industrial chain can reduce the influence of enterprises on market price changes, make the coal and electricity industry enter a more sustained and stable development state, fundamentally accelerate the process of coal and electricity integration in China, and force and guide other enterprises to follow suit and reorganize, which is also an important direction of China's energy system revolution.
