With the popularity of electric cars, will fuel cars really be obsolete in the future?

The replacement of fuel cars by new energy vehicles seems to be a done deal, but is it actually? No. Although some European countries have announced a timetable to stop the sale of fuel cars, but including the United Kingdom, France, Germany and other countries, this timetable is in fact only part of the government officials' position, and without the approval of the Parliament, or the introduction of a legally binding motion, temporarily does not have the power to compel. And our Minister of Industry and Information Technology Xin Guobin's speech is also just a statement.

In my opinion, electric vehicles will partially replace fuel cars, but not completely, at least not in recent decades, unless there is a disruptive electric vehicle technology. Not to say replace, the popularity of electric cars is not yet sufficient, it is too early to say replace.

If we want to popularize electric vehicles, we must first meet the following three conditions:

One is the full replacement of fuel oil and coal-fired power generation with clean electricity. The current sources of clean power are hydropower, wind power, solar power, nuclear power, tidal power generation is still under study, but the problem is that these clean power is not enough to support the current domestic residential and industrial electricity, and these clean power by the role of the natural environment is very large and unstable, so the fuel oil and coal-fired power generation is still needed.

The second is that the range of electric vehicles can be compared with traditional fuel vehicles. Most of the moving cars on the market now do not have enough power to drive, not to mention the heartbeat that feeling is also far from ordinary cars. Improving the driving experience requires more research and development costs for car companies.

Third, sound supporting facilities. Only if you can find a place to charge at any time and anywhere and can be fully charged in a short time, you won't have to worry about driving an electric car. To meet these two points, the sky to engage in charging pile is not work, low efficiency waste of money. At present, the EV needs to be revolutionized in two aspects, one is the very fast charging technology, and the other is interchangeable batteries.

If the above three aspects are realized, electric vehicles may be rapidly popularized, and then talk about electric vehicles to replace the fuel car thing is not too late.
