How to polish jade?
There are two ways to polish jade: mechanical polishing and manual polishing. Mechanical polishing is accomplished by using a vibrating machine with emery and polishing powder. The operation method is simple, but it is not suitable for particularly fine polishing. There are many equipments used for manual polishing, and jade velvet needs to be polished according to specific conditions. Usually, it is polished with a coarse emery bar first, and then with a fine abrasive belt, which is a highly technical and laborious work. Manual grinding method of jade: 1. How to polish jade? Polishing is also called "roughening", that is, the surface of jade carving semi-finished products is polished with a "rubber mill" to make it more delicate and smooth. This is some simple preparation before polishing. 2. How to polish jadeite with special polishing powder? Generally, red powder (iron oxide powder), green powder (chromium oxide powder) and natural diamond powder are used as polishing agents. The polishing agent is mixed with proper amount of water and oil and coated on a load-bearing wheel made of soft materials such as felt, leather, cotton cloth, wood and gourd shell. Then slowly rub it on the jade surface and rotate it for a while to get a smooth, clean and shiny jade surface. The beauty of jade material and the beauty of jade craft can be fully reflected.
