Ethnic costumes are the national costumes worn by ethnic minorities in China in daily life and festive occasions. Due to geographical environment, climate, customs, economy, culture and other reasons, the costumes of 55 ethnic minorities in China have formed different styles, colorful and unique.

The customs and costumes of ethnic minorities

Mongolian costumes include jewelry, robes, belts and boots. Men, women and children like to wear robes all year round, double robes in spring and autumn, single robes in summer and cotton or fur robes in winter. Men's dresses are generally generous and bold, while women's dresses are relatively tight to show their slim and fit figure. Men's dresses are mostly blue and brown, while women's dresses like red, pink, green and sky blue.

Men's wear of Zhuang nationality is mostly Tang suit with broken chest and double-breasted buttons, made of local homespun, without trousers, short collar and double-breasted tops with six to eight pairs of buttons. Zhuang people's clothing has a pair of small pockets sewn on the chest and two large pockets on the abdomen. The hem is folded inward into a wide edge, and the lower edge is symmetrically slit left and right. They wear wide pants as short as the knees.

Manchu costumes are divided into flag dresses and mandarin jackets. Nowadays, Manchu people generally wear fashion, and they also wear clothes that suit their own characteristics in festivals. Among them, the improved cheongsam is deeply loved by people all over the country. Manchu language of flag dress is called clothing interface, which is divided into four types: single, clip, leather and cotton. This kind of dress is connected with the skirt. In ancient times, it was an upper dress and a lower skirt, which was obviously different from the upper two clothes of the Han nationality.
