Learn about the authentic origin of Pi Ba Zi

Bazi prediction, also called four-pillar prediction, is commonly known as Bazi prediction.

Among the five skills of metaphysics (Mountain Doctor fortune divination), it is a commonly used prediction method in the category of numerology.

Bazi prediction was founded by Li Xuzhong, a master of Yi studies in the Tang Dynasty. At first, it was just three pillars of year, month and day to predict fortune.

In the Song Dynasty, Xu Ziping, a master of Yi studies, carried out reforms and developments on the basis of Li Xuzhong. On the basis of the original three pillars of year, month and day, he also introduced the element of hour, so that it became the year.

The four pillars of month, day and hour, plus the stems and branches, are eight characters to predict a person's good or bad luck.

This four-pillar and eight-character fortune-telling method has been used to this day.

Therefore, the art of Four Pillars and Eight Characters was named after Xu Ziping, and is called Ziping's Art.

Bazi prediction is one of the most common and common prediction methods.

Most people who study Yi, whether they are scholars of the Study School (theoretical school) who focus on research, or magicians of the Jianghu School (practical school) who do this as a means of livelihood, most of them must be familiar with some prediction methods of horoscopes.

And theory, the art of Ziping has become a required course for those who learn Yi, just like the required courses when we go to school in modern society.

The horoscope prediction method is the most common, common and probably the most widely used method. Therefore, for those who do not understand Yi Xue, many people will fall into a misunderstanding and think that the horoscope prediction method is the most correct method.

This concept is actually wrong.

There are dozens of common Chinese traditional prediction methods, such as four pillars, six lines, eight trigrams, facial physiognomy, bone physiognomy, palmistry, star destiny, Taiyi, Qimen, Liuren, word test, lottery, etc.

These forecasting methods are really just different tools.

It is often said in martial arts that one should practice eighteen kinds of weapons. A martial arts practitioner, no matter which weapon he practices, the ultimate goal is to be able to kill the enemy and win. As for which weapon to use when actually facing the enemy in battle, it must be based on the situation and personal preferences.

It depends on your preference. You don't necessarily have to use only one weapon. Use short knives and sharp swords for close combat, and use long spears and halberds for long range combat.

These methods of prediction are like these weapons. Different people choose different prediction methods according to different situations.

I once encountered some forecasters who deliberately elevated the status of horoscope prediction, saying that horoscope prediction is the most brilliant and correct method in prediction.

In fact, this is a narrow statement, meant to deceive laymen. The real reason is that these forecasters have only learned the horoscope prediction method and cannot use other methods.

Anyone who practices martial arts knows that there are very few people who are truly proficient in all eighteen types of weapons. Most people are only proficient in one or a few of the weapons, and it is good enough to use the other weapons sparingly.

The same is true for a forecaster. It is impossible for a forecaster to be proficient in all methods. Among the five major categories of mountain doctor fortune divination, it is quite difficult to be proficient in one of them.

Here, I also remind those fans who have just started to learn Yi Xue. Don’t think that you have to learn any one. If you learn too much, you will be confused and not perfect. First choose the most basic, easiest to get started, and the most suitable method for you.

Once you understand it, become familiar with it, and become proficient in it, you can then study other things, so that you can avoid detours.

There is a story in Zen Buddhism. Wuwu Zangni said to the Sixth Patriarch Hui Neng: "I have been studying the Nirvana Sutra for many years, but there are still many things I don't understand. I hope to get some advice." Hui Neng said to her: "I

If you are illiterate, please read the scriptures to me, so that I may be able to help you solve some problems." Wuwu Zangni smiled and said, "How can you explain the scriptures if you don't even know the words?" Huineng said to her.

: "Truth has nothing to do with words. Truth is like the bright moon in the sky, and words only refer to the fingers of the moon. Your fingers can point out the location of the bright moon, but your fingers are not the bright moon. You don't necessarily have to look through your fingers to see the moon.

Is that so?" No matter what kind of forecasting method it is, it is just a tool. The ultimate goal of the person taking the test is to get the correct answer, rather than caring about what tool the forecaster uses.

Just like everyone eats, they use chopsticks to eat, a spoon to drink soup, and a knife and fork to eat Western food. What kind of tableware is most convenient to choose depends on different foods.

Of course, if you can only use chopsticks or a knife and fork, you can still eat. If you can't, you can still grab it with your hands.

It is up to the forecaster to choose what kind of tools to make predictions. Of course, the higher the level of the forecaster, the more tools he will be proficient in, and the simpler and more accurate the prediction will be.
