Where should the building floors be counted?

High-rise buildings are high-rise buildings starting from 10 or above 10.

According to the Code for Fire Protection Design of High-rise Civil Buildings, residential buildings above 10 floor are high-rise buildings, and other non-single-storey civil buildings with a building height of more than 24 meters are high-rise buildings.

Buildings can be divided into low-rise buildings, multi-storey buildings, high-rise buildings and super-high-rise buildings according to their height and floors. The specific division of labor is as follows:

Residential buildings: generally 1-3 floors are called low-rise buildings, 4-6 floors are called multi-storey buildings, and 7-9 floors are called medium-high-rise buildings; 10 floors above are called high-rise buildings.

Public buildings and comprehensive buildings: According to the General Principles for the Design of Civil Buildings of the Ministry of Construction of China, public buildings and comprehensive buildings with a total height of more than 24 m are called high-rise buildings (excluding single-storey main buildings with a height of more than 24 m).

Super high-rise building: According to China's Code for Fire Protection Design of High-rise Civil Buildings, when the building height exceeds 100 m, both residential buildings and public buildings are super high-rise buildings.

Industrial buildings: divided into single-storey workshops, multi-storey workshops and mixed-storey workshops.
