Differences between Western Liberalism and China Traditional Culture

First, the relationship between justice and benefit. Generally speaking, liberalism advocates self-pursuit. Orientals put righteousness first, while liberalism pays more attention to personal interests, which can also be called a style of not hypocrisy and seeking truth from facts. Modesty is a virtue for us.

Second, it is a question of wholeness and individuality. We emphasize wholeness and comprehensiveness, liberals attach importance to individuality, followed by groups. Just like Chinese medicine and western medicine, Chinese medicine emphasizes the whole, which is different from western medicine. Anatomically, it attaches importance to parts of the whole.

Third, seeking common ground while reserving differences. We in China have always emphasized "harmony is the most important" and "harmony between man and nature", while the west pays attention to the innovation and individuality of various theories.

Fourth, the differences in emotional expression. China's traditional culture is implicit, and liberals directly reveal it. Presumably, the west had no imagination of China's ancient celebrities, not to mention China's ancient thought of "men are superior to women" and ancient family law.
