The Practice of China Festival

Chinese knots are decorations that can highlight the festive atmosphere in the new year. Usually, Chinese knots can be hung on various decorations or lights at home, which makes the home particularly festive and comfortable. There are many ways to weave Chinese knots, and auspicious knots are the most popular way to weave in the New Year. Today, let's take a look at how auspicious knots are woven.

First, put the Chinese knot rope in a cross shape, with the opening of the rope facing down, then lift up the lower two pieces of rope, put the right rope on the left, and then put down the upper rope. Then, when the lower rope is lifted, pass the left rope through the gap.

Tighten the rope on all sides, like it? Next, according to the tutorial, weave the ropes on the four sides and tighten them, and then pull out the ropes on the sides to form a harmonious Chinese knot, so that the auspicious knot is completed!

What is a Chinese knot?

Chinese knot is a unique hand-woven handicraft in China, and its emotion and wisdom are only one aspect of ancient civilization in China. It was first knotted by sewing clothes in the Paleolithic Age, and then extended to the ritual records of the Han Dynasty, and then evolved into today's decorative techniques.

Chinese knots include: double money knot, ox knot, pipa knot, group gold knot, cross knot, auspicious knot, swastika knot, coiled knot, algae well knot, double connection, trick knot and so on. Chinese knots represent unity, happiness and peace, especially among the people, and their exquisite workmanship is deeply loved by the public.

What is the concept of making Chinese knots?

Its manufacturing method is the same as that of braided belt, but it is made by the command of winding knots. The difficulty in choosing a single line as the object lies in how to draw the line. As shown in figure 1- 1.

As shown in figure 1-2, the picture is rotated 45 to facilitate horizontal and vertical tracing.

As shown in figure 1-3, draw 7 lines horizontally to ensure that each line is on the red Chinese knot, which can be drawn directly or with the command of equal spacing. In addition, considering the two big circles, we draw an extra line at the beginning and the end, which is a ***9 lines. Then, as shown in figure 1-4, rotate and copy the nine horizontal lines by 90, so that the lines cross, and the positions may be deviated. Use the translation command to fine-tune them.

As shown in figure 1-5, select the command of drawing curve/arc in the menu bar, and click three figures of circle/tangent in this command. This command is to draw a circle tangent to three straight lines, which is not commonly used. The specific usage method is to click three straight lines in turn. As shown in figures 1-6 and 1-7, draw circles in turn at the positions shown in the figure, and use the single-line equidistant command to offset the distance of a square where the two great circles are located. Then, as shown in figures 1-8 and 1-9, trim the lines and connect them.
