The scientific research of the college is mainly based on basic research and applied research, with a solid scientific research foundation and first-class scientific research conditions. It has two provincial key laboratories, namely "Hebei Biological Control Engineering Technology Center of Crop Pests and Diseases" and "Hebei Basic Research Base of Crop Stress Resistance and Diseases and Diseases". In 2004, it successfully applied for the National 863 Project. At present, the main research directions are: biopharmaceuticals, molecular plant pathology and biological control of diseases; Immunology and epidemiology of plant diseases; Phytopathogenic mycotoxins and disease-resistant breeding: biology of potato late blight; Development of microbial pesticides; Study on insect cell line: study on insect virus replication and its synergistic factors: study on insect pathogenic nematodes: insect classification and phylogeny: monitoring of dangerous pests; Insect physiology and biochemistry; Insect community ecology and IPM;; Pesticide synthesis and dosage form processing; Analysis of pesticide residues and drug resistance. The college has advanced instruments such as PCR instrument, liquid chromatograph, gas chromatograph, high-speed freezing centrifuge, fluorescence inverted microscope, gel imaging system, ultra-low temperature refrigerator and so on, with a fund of more than 4.5 million yuan. At present, it undertakes 79 national 863 science and technology projects, National Natural Science Foundation, China Science and Education Fund, Research Fund for Returned Overseas Students of the Ministry of Education, Hebei Natural Science Foundation, major research projects of the Provincial Science and Technology Commission, projects of the Provincial Education Department and international cooperation projects, with the research funding of 654.38+03.205 million yuan.
