Yi clothing characteristics of about 100 words
The costumes of the Yi people are colorful and unique in style, with nearly 100 kinds of forms. Historically, due to the Yi tribes are many, living scattered, therefore, the difference between the dress of each place is obvious, different styles, with a strong regional color, a wide range of different characteristics. Many areas in Liangshan have four cool seasons and little climate change, so the Yi dress is not seasonal, and the chalwa (shawl) is worn all year round. The Yi costumes are more colorful, with varied styles, and are decorated with a large number of silver products and embroidery.
On November 11, 2014, the Yi costume was approved by the State Council to be included in the fourth batch of national intangible cultural heritage list.
