What is the gas-liquid ratio of ammonia stripper?

Refers to the volume ratio of steam to blowoff (ammonia-containing wastewater).

Blow-off method is used to remove ammonia nitrogen in water, that is, gas is introduced into the water to make the gas and liquid fully contact, so that the free ammonia dissolved in water can be transferred to the gas phase through the gas-liquid interface, thus achieving the purpose of removing ammonia nitrogen. Air is often used as the carrier (if steam is used as the carrier, it is called stripping).

Ammonia stripping generally adopts stripping tank and stripping tower, but the stripping tank occupies a large area and is easy to cause secondary pollution, so tower equipment is often used for ammonia stripping.

Stripping tower usually adopts countercurrent operation, and the tower is filled with a certain height of packing to increase the gas-liquid mass transfer area, which is beneficial to the desorption of ammonia in wastewater. Commonly used fillers include Raschig ring, polypropylene Bauer ring and polypropylene polyhedral hollow ball. The wastewater is lifted to the top of the packed tower and distributed to the whole surface of the packing. It flows down through the packing in the opposite direction to the gas. The partial pressure of ammonia in air increases with the increase of deamination degree and decreases with the increase of gas-liquid ratio.
