Yuan JIU Gao Deng
There have been two opinions about the origin of Dazhou mountain climbing custom: one is to commemorate Yuan Zhen. According to historical records, during his tenure as Sima in Tongzhou, Yuan Zhen made outstanding achievements and was an honest official, which won the support of Tongzhou people. In the thirteenth year of Yuanhe, he left Tongzhou for a new job, and people attached themselves to him. If they lost their loved ones, they all saw him off. When his boat went down the Zhouhe River and was blocked by the mountain, people climbed to the top of Cuiping Mountain and Fenghuang Mountain and stood at the highest place to wave goodbye to him. Yuan Zhen ranked ninth at home, named Yuanjiu, and left Tongzhou on the ninth day of January. In order to commemorate him, "going up the mountain with Yuan Jiu" has become a traditional festival in Dazhou, which has been passed down to this day. Another way of saying it is to commemorate the Jade Emperor. In ancient times, there was Dacheng Jade Emperor Temple in Cuiping Mountain. The ninth day of the first month is the birthday of the Jade Emperor. On that day, Dazhou people went up the mountain to burn incense and live for the Jade Emperor.
Every year on the ninth day of the first month, hundreds of thousands of people in Dazhou rush out to climb mountains, play on the mountains and return home at sunset.
In 2006, "Yuan Jiu Gao Deng Festival" was designated as "City Festival" and in 2008 it was listed as "Top Ten Famous festivals in Sichuan". In 2009, it was listed in the second batch of Sichuan intangible cultural heritage protection list.
Two songs in Bashan North
The two songs in Bashan North came into being as Ba people engaged in long-distance bad luck. During the Qin and Han Dynasties, there was an ancient road in Dazhou, which passed through Tam, Wang Jia, Changba, Ross, Huangzhong and Zhuyu, reaching Chang 'an and Chengdu. The ancient people formed a huge freight team on this road, and created "Bashan North Gore" in their labor, which has been spontaneously passed down to this day.
Most of its manifestations are led by one person or sung together. Its melody is fresh and smooth, its singing is loud and clear, its style is rough and bold, and it has regional characteristics.

Anren Bench Dragon refers to a folk dance with benches as props, which originated in Anren Township, Daxian County and spread in more than 20 towns and villages around Daxian County, such as Liu Ma, Tanmu, Huahong Township, Dongxing and Datan. Anren bench dragon is usually based on a long wooden stool, on which bamboo strips are bent to make a faucet and dragon body, and decorated with several crop straws such as rice straw and corn husk to symbolize bumper harvest; Taking the four legs of the bench as the dragon legs means peace in the four seasons; Each dragon is performed by three people, which means "Three Yang, Kai Tai".
In 2006, based on Anren Bench Dragon, a carefully adapted program participated in the opening ceremony of the 10th Sichuan Sports Meeting.
