Centrifugal sedimentation (hydrocyclone) uses the density difference between immiscible multiphase media for centrifugal separation, which is characterized by small floor space, small equipment volume, high separation efficiency and continuous operation process. However, the slight changes of structural parameters and operating parameters have great influence on the separation effect, so targeted research work should be carried out for different media needs. It is suitable for occasions with small space requirements, high throughput requirements and continuous operation.

Filtering (sieving) sand removal has the characteristics of high efficiency, but it needs backwashing, and the equipment occupies a large area, which is suitable for occasions such as low sand content and small sand particle size.
