What are the common methods of emotional counseling?
Mental support therapy is a widely used therapy at present. It is a kind of communication way that mental health counselors reasonably use persuasion, inspiration, encouragement, sympathy, support, reasoning, persuasion, dispelling doubts and providing guarantee to help visitors understand problems, improve their emotions and boost their confidence, thus promoting physical and mental rehabilitation. It is especially suitable for psychological counseling when the sick, injured and disabled are depressed, anxious and pessimistic.
(2) Behavioral therapy
Behavioral therapy is a kind of psychotherapy which is guided by behavioral learning theory and eliminates or corrects people's abnormal or bad behavior according to certain consultation procedures. The main theoretical basis of behavioral therapy is Pavlov's classical conditioning principle. Behavioral therapy emphasizes that the abnormal behavior or physiological function of visitors can be corrected or eliminated through conditioned reflex, that is, by learning or establishing new healthy behavior to replace it. There are many kinds of behavioral therapy, such as systematic desensitization therapy, shock therapy, aversion therapy, behavior modeling, token therapy and so on.
(3) Cognitive therapy
Cognitive therapy is a psychological counseling method to change the bad cognition of visitors through cognitive and behavioral techniques according to the theoretical hypothesis that cognitive processes affect emotions and behaviors. Psychological counselors should work with visitors to find out these unsuitable cognition, and provide learning or training methods to correct this knowledge, so that visitors' cognition is closer to reality and closer to reality. With the correction of bad cognition, the psychological obstacles of visitors are gradually eliminated.
(5) Morita therapy
Morita therapy is a kind of psychotherapy for diagnosing neurosis, which was developed by Japanese scholar Morita Masaru Ma Faming. Morita believes that neuroticism is the basis of neurosis, so we can ignore the attitude of "keeping the original state and letting nature take its course" to relax. Let all kinds of bad feelings disappear on their own until they recover.
(6) Music intervention skills
Music intervention skill is a scientific and systematic intervention process. In this process, psychological counselors use various forms of music experience and the intervention relationship developed in the process of psychological measurement as the driving force to help the intervened person achieve the healthy goal. Intervention includes applied research of different methods and theoretical schools, not just simple consulting methods. It achieves the purpose of intervention through the interpersonal/social function, physiological/physical function and psychological/emotional function of music. Without the involvement of professional music interveners and the relationship with the intervenees, it can't be called music intervention, let alone buying some records to listen to at home as people think.
(7) Group intervention and guidance
Group intervention and consultation is a form of psychological training in group situations. Through interpersonal communication within the group, individuals can know themselves, explore themselves, accept themselves, adjust and improve their relationships with others, learn new attitudes and behaviors, form new interpersonal communication, and finally achieve the goal of improvement.
