What is Physical Therapy (Exercise Therapy) PT

Physical therapy is the mainstay of rehabilitation therapy, which uses physical factors including sound, light, cold, heat, electricity, force (motion and pressure) and other physical factors for treatment, targeting the body's localized or systemic dysfunctions or lesions, and adopting non-invasive, non-pharmacological treatments to restore the body's original physiological functions. Physiotherapy is a very important part of modern and traditional medicine.

Physical therapy can be divided into two categories, one is to functional training and manipulation as the main means of treatment, also known as exercise therapy or sports therapy; the other is to a variety of physical factors (sound, light, cold, heat, electricity, magnetism, water, etc.) as the main means of treatment, also known as physical therapy.
