What does Quyi music mean?
Quyi music is a kind of traditional music in China. The combination of singing and speaking, with musical instruments, interprets folklore and stories with rappers as the center, explains the plot and describes the musical style of characters. Widely spread in urban and rural areas of the country, there are many kinds, among which Han folk music accounts for a large proportion, and ethnic folk music has also developed rapidly in modern times. The term "Quyi" came into being in 1950s, and now it has been used as a general term for professional rap art forms in ancient and modern times.
