Mass cultural activities are increasingly active and colorful. The bamboo horse lanterns in Zhancun, the lion dances in Shaoerzhuang East Village and Luoerzhuang, and the moth lanterns in Zhangjiazhuang have participated in the municipal folk art performances 23 times. In February 1991, the village's bamboo lanterns and Luoerzhuang's lion dance both won second prizes in the city's large-scale folk art performance during the New Year, and the town cultural station won the "Outstanding Organization Award for Mass Culture and Folk Art." In 1986, a 150-square-meter martial arts training room was built in Dangxi Village, and in 1995, a martial arts school was established in Shaoerzhuang East Village.
