The difference between traditional science education and sts education
STS = Science, technology and society (STS research for short). It explores and reveals the complex relationship between science, technology and society, and studies the positive and negative effects of science and technology on society.
Its purpose is to change the separation of science and technology and the disconnection between science and technology and society, so that science and technology can better benefit mankind. The STS education reform movement spread from Europe to the United States, and its implementation targets expanded from college students to primary and secondary school students. STS teaching has become a worldwide trend and a major trend of educational reform (Su, Min 85; Cutcliffe, 1989).
