Legal basis: Article 2 of the Measures for the Administration of Old-age Care Institutions The old-age care institutions mentioned in these Measures refer to institutions registered according to law and providing full-time centralized accommodation and care services for the elderly, with more than 65,438 beds. Pension institutions include for-profit pension institutions and non-profit pension institutions. Article 3 The civil affairs departments of the people's governments at or above the county level shall be responsible for the guidance, supervision and management of pension institutions. Other relevant departments shall supervise the old-age care institutions in accordance with the division of responsibilities. Article 4 Old-age care institutions shall carry out service activities in accordance with laws, regulations and mandatory standards such as construction, fire protection, food safety, medical and health care and special equipment. Pension institutions and their staff should protect the personal rights, property rights and other legitimate rights and interests of the elderly according to law. Fifth elderly people living in pension institutions and their agents shall abide by the rules and regulations of pension institutions and maintain the normal service order of pension institutions.
