How to remember English words?

First of all, focus on thinking and memory.

The survey found that a large number of junior and senior high school students have vague memories of the words they have learned, which is "deja vu". Manifested as: spelling mistakes, such as autumn missing the last letter n; Confused meanings, such as looking outward as "looking outward"; Part of speech is vague. For example, the word "interested" in "She is interested in ……" is mistaken for a past participle and becomes a passive voice. The usage is not clear, such as watching TV instead of watching TV. The analysis shows that the word information is not well input, or there is no "listening and speaking", or the memory of words is thinking about several things at the same time, or the repetition frequency is too low, which leads to the "specious" memory of words. The fundamental reason is that there is no concentrated thinking and memory. In view of this, before memorizing words, we must ask ourselves to calm down, concentrate our thoughts to the maximum extent, and eliminate all other thoughts. Otherwise, the word information will be stirred into a "pot of porridge" in the neural network, and memorizing words will become ineffective labor.

Second, a clear way of remembering.

The way of memory often determines the depth of memory, which is in line with the law from the perspective of mnemonics. Some students have good auditory memory, so they can record the words or texts they need to remember, and then record them while listening, or read them repeatedly; Some students have good visual memory, so they can write down the words to be remembered in a special notebook, or make small cards and meditate; There are also some students who combine these two methods to achieve better results, that is, while listening and writing (empty books), while reading and reciting. Every student should develop their strengths and avoid their weaknesses, and make clear the memory mode suitable for them: auditory memory, visual memory, or a combination of the two. Which of the three methods is better and which is worse? According to the author's personal experience and teaching practice, the combination of the two is ideal. Because of this memory method, we have to force people's eyes, ears, mouth, hands and brain to coordinate actions at the same time, and repeatedly stimulate the sensory nerves from different channels, so that words can be input into the neural network as soon as possible.

Third, master the memory trick.

Neuropsychologists have concluded that it takes at least 30 seconds for a message to enter the neural network, and it is also temporary. After 30 seconds, if you don't repeat it, it will disappear quickly. And to make it stored in the neural network for a long time, we should do the following:

L, ensure the sleep time and quality. This is the best guarantee to improve memory efficiency.

2. Fully mobilize neurons. Most people are used to using the left brain and letting the right brain sleep in vain, which is a great waste. According to the physiological principle that the left brain dominates the right hand and the right brain dominates the left hand, we can try to do something with the left hand.

3. Always use your head. As the saying goes, "a knife will rust if it is not sharpened." The human brain is the same, it will be dull if it is not used! The more you use it, the more skillful it is!

4. Arrange the memory time reasonably. According to the data measured by physiologists, the neural network and memory center are particularly active within 1 hour from 6 am to class, so the word memory efficiency is the highest, followed by morning; In the afternoon, the human body and neural network are in the lazy stage; At about four or five o'clock in the afternoon, the human body and neural network began to regain their vitality until they fell asleep. Therefore, it is necessary to scientifically arrange the time for memorizing words, instead of memorizing them whenever you want. It is best to arrange them in the morning, after four or five in the morning or in the afternoon.

5. Choose the memory method scientifically. There are dozens of ways to remember words, but different places and people have different situations, so try as soon as possible, choose a memory method that suits you at this stage, and don't change your mind. If we use this today and that tomorrow, we will accomplish nothing.

Middle school students have many courses and many things to remember, but they all draw inferences from one another. As long as the word memory problem is solved, the memory problem of other knowledge will be solved.
