What is batik?
Anshun is known as the "hometown of batik". Today, the Palace Museum in Beijing exhibited a batik back fan of Miao nationality in Anshun suburb collected by the Qing court.
Anshun batik is actually divided into two forms: batik and batik. Wax painting is made by dipping a copper knife (wax painting tool) in high-temperature melted beeswax and hand-painting it on a white cloth. Flowers, birds, fish and insects, rivers, lakes and seas, lifelike, vivid, and then artists can fill in various colors according to their own preferences. Batik is anti-dyeing, boiling, wax removal, rinsing, flower development, and mysterious ice patterns, which make batik more abstract. Batik is very popular among Miao and Buyi women in Anshun. Miao patterns have the nature of history books, like armor, like words, or freehand brushwork, or abstract, free riding; Buyi people are mostly totem patterns, including sun patterns, Yun Leiwen patterns, palindromes and bronze drum patterns, which are continuous and symmetrical, simple and elegant. Batik fabrics are often used as clothing, waist, bed sheets, back fans, canopies, satchels, hats and fashion. At present, Anshun batik has become a fashion pursued by Chinese and foreign tourists. In 1980s, a group of wax painting experts, represented by Miao folk artist Yang Jinxiu, were invited to perform in Europe and America, which was well received by many international friends and experts.
