Specialty and Characteristics of Kaifeng Vocational College of Culture and Art

The first batch will set up hosting and broadcasting, animation design, secretarial, tourism English, performing arts, decorative arts design, tourism handicraft design and production, and psychological consultation. Among them, the tourism handicraft design and production specialty will closely combine Kaifeng's profound cultural heritage and rich advantages of tourism resources, integrate traditional Kaifeng handicrafts such as Zhuxian Town woodcut New Year pictures, flat embroidery, lanterns, kites, pyrography and calligraphy into the classroom, and combine ancient painting copying and creation, woodcut, hand weaving and other handicraft production with graphic image production, so as to establish a course teaching mode combining national characteristics with local characteristics and cultivate advanced skilled talents in this field. Within five years, 17 professional and full-time students will be built, with a school scale of 6400 students. The completion of the school will build a solid talent training platform, carry out targeted, practical and professional training, and provide high-quality skilled talents with professional skills for our city, even the whole province and the whole country.
