Traditional repertoire of Peking Opera
The traditional repertoire of Peking Opera is Farewell My Concubine, The Legend of the White Snake, Dingjunshan, The Drunken Concubine, The Borrowing of the East Wind, and The Empty City.
1, "Farewell My Concubine"
This play was originally titled "Chu and Han Controversy", based on the kunqu "Thousand Gold Records" and the "Records of the Grand Historian - Xiang Yu's Chronicle". Total***Four books.In 1918, it was premiered in Beijing by the famous Peking Opera actors Yang Xiaolou and Shang Xiaoyun.On February 15, 1922, Yang Xiaolou collaborated with Mei Lanfang. Qi Shan and Wu Zhenxiu revised Chu and Han, and renamed it Farewell My Concubine.
2. The Legend of the White Snake
This play is based on one of the "Four Great Legends of Chinese Folklore", the "Legend of the White Snake", and tells the love story of the White Snake, Bai Suzhen, and the mortal, Xu Xian, from the moment she descended from the mountains to the time when Bai and Xu were reunited, the two of them went through a long and bumpy love story, which is very impressive.

3. Dingjunshan
This drama is based on the 70th and 71st episodes of Romance of the Three Kingdoms, and tells the story of Huang Zhong, one of the Five Tiger Generals of Shu, who asked Zhuge Liang for an order to resist the enemy, repulsed Zhang He, and decapitated Xiahou Yuan, so that the army of Shu was able to settle the Dongchuan River. The play shows Huang Zhong's old and strong generalship, and lets people understand the life epiphany that "there is no way to say that Mulberry is late, for the Xia is still full of sky".
4. The Drunkenness of Concubine
Also known as The Pavilion of a Hundred Flowers, this is a one-fold play based on the story of Yang Guifei, a historical figure in the Tang Dynasty of China. It is one of the representative repertoires of the Mei School of Chinese Opera, and has been widely known as one of the best-known plays of the Mei School since it was created and performed by the famous Peking Opera performer, Mr. Mei Lanfang.
5. "Borrowing the East Wind"
The story is based on the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, which tells the story before the Battle of Red Cliff, Jiang Gan's theft of a book, Zhou Yu's beating of Huang Gai, and Pang Shiyuan's ingenious presentation of a chain of stratagems.
6. The Empty City Scheme
Also known as the "Fiddle Retreat", the story is taken from the "Romance of the Three Kingdoms", the ninety-fifth episode of which is "Ma Su's Loss of the Street Pavilion due to his refusal to give advice, and Wuhou's Retreat from Zhongda by playing the qin". The narrative is Zhuge Liang because Ma Su self-centered talent and lost Jie Ting, Wei general Sima Yi take advantage of the situation to lead an army of 150,000 to attack Zhuge Liang's residence in Xicheng. At that time, Zhuge Liang's elite have been sent out, the western city is empty, only the resident old and weak soldiers, outnumbered, very critical.
Zhuge Liang set the empty city of the plan, to the city gate is wide open, calmly, as if nothing happened to the city tower to watch the mountains and enjoy the scenery, drinking wine and playing the piano.
