Hunan people have three important customs during the Spring Festival:

On the first day of the first month, why are all kinds of ghosts afraid? Ying Shao's "Customs Tongyi" in the Han Dynasty said: "There were two people in ancient times, Shencha and Lei Yukun. Under a big peach tree at the foot of Dushuo Mountain, there lived two brothers, Cha and Lei. They specialize in observing all kinds of ghosts When they found ghosts who were bold and harmful to human beings, they immediately tied them up with reeds and arrested them to feed the tigers. So, on New Year's Eve, later generations cut the ribbon, hung reed ropes and painted a tiger on the door-the door god "Taofu". This is how the Spring Festival couplets evolved.
