Brief Introduction of China Folk Artists Association

China Folk Artists Association (hereinafter referred to as "Chinese Artists Association") was established on March 29th, 1950 (1987 was formerly known as China Folk Literature and Art Research Association, and now its name was changed from 1987), with its first presidents Guo Moruo, Zhou Yang, Feng and Feng Jicai as successive presidents. Feng Jicai, the current chairman, and Luo Yang, the vice chairman. China Folk Artists Association is a group member of China Federation of Literary and Art Circles. Its basic function is liaison, coordination and service, and it is committed to actively promoting and practicing the rescue, protection and inheritance of folk cultural heritage. Organize, plan and guide national folk literature and art activities, hold various forms of folk literature and art exhibitions, performances, festivals and China folk literature and art "Mountain Flower Award" awarding activities, carry out theoretical research on folk literature and art, volunteer service of folk literature and art and international, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan folk cultural exchanges; Pay attention to protecting the legitimate rights and interests of folk literature and art workers, and promote the great development and prosperity of Chinese folk literature and art with fruitful results. The purpose of China Folk Artists Association is to collect, study and preserve Chinese folk literature and folk art, inherit and carry forward their fine traditions, enhance respect and understanding of folk literature and art, communicate with international folk literature and folk customs, and promote the development and prosperity of new socialist literature and art. Since its establishment, the Association has been concerned and supported by the CPC Central Committee, Chairman Mao and other parties. Under the leadership of Guo Moruo, Zhou Yang, Feng, Feng Jicai and other successive presidents, the China Folk Writers Association has gathered colleagues engaged in folk literature and art in China. Under the guidance of the "two ones" policy, a large number of works have been collected, sorted out, edited and published, which has made great contributions to inheriting the excellent traditional culture of all ethnic groups in China and prospering socialist literature and art.
