Difference between grappling and boxing
Difference in rules: free sparring allows the use of punches, kicks, and knees, and can hit the thighs, abdomen, and head, etc., and one party is down, then the other party is not allowed to hit, and can't use the anti-joint techniques, elbows, knees, etc., and there is a certain degree of prohibition of the wrestling method. Boxing, by contrast, can only hit the opponent with punches, and the attacking parts are mainly above the waist, mainly the abdomen and head, not allowed to hit the back of the head and back, and adopts an eight-round system, a ten-round system, and sometimes a twelve-round system.
Technical differences: free sparring focuses on boxing offense, punch and leg combinations, and mid-range x-strikes, and there is almost no application of footwork and upper body dodging. Boxing, on the other hand, focuses more on working with footwork, such as rhythmic hand targets, combinations, more punches and leg combinations, and a certain requirement for upper body dodging.
Psychological requirements: boxing requires athletes to have better concentration, endurance and stress resistance to deal with the various challenges that may arise in the game. Combat, on the other hand, pays more attention to the psychological tactics when facing different opponents, such as bluffing and sounding out the opponent.
