Why can nine frogs be stacked together?
The original design of the portrait of Nine Frogs came from before the 9.21earthquake (1999). The scenic spot management office of Nantou County commissioned Mr. Lu, a green company that designed the natural trail of water frog head, to design it, and invited Mr. Shen, a famous artist from Sun Moon Lake, to create a prototype. It is planned to erect a frog statue on the water at the end of the trail to enhance the impression of the place name "Water Frog Head".
The image of nine frogs stacked together is to highlight the interesting phenomenon that the water level drops by nearly two meters every day due to the pumping power generation in Sun Moon Lake. Visitors will notice why the number of frogs exposed to water is different at different times on the same day, or during different visits, thus discovering the extremely important role of Sun Moon Lake in pumping water and generating electricity.
