Definition of Confucianism
Confucianism, also known as Confucianism, Mingjiao, Rites, or the religion of the past kings. Confucianism is a national religion with Confucius as its forefather, the teachings of sages and Shintoism, "the ancestors recounted Yao and Shun, and the charter of civil and military affairs." It advocates the rule of law by kings, respecting kings and resisting barbarians, and promoting order from top to bottom. Confucianism uses the Thirteen Classics as religious classics, ancient bureaucracies as religious organizations, the Confucius Temple as religious sites, and worshiping heaven, ancestors, and offering libations as religious rituals. In a narrow sense, it refers to the Confucian movement of Kang Youwei and others since the early years of the Republic of China. Confucianism is the traditional national religion of China and the nerve and soul of traditional Chinese culture. As Chinese traditional culture has not been interrupted for five thousand years, Confucianism has also not been interrupted during its thousands of years of evolution and development.
