Where was Guan Gong from?
Gong Guan was a native of Xie County, Hedong County (present-day Yuncheng, Shanxi Province).
Guan Yu (160-220), whose real name was Changsheng (长生), later changed to Yunchang (云长), was a native of Xiexian County, Hedong County (present-day Yuncheng, Shanxi Province), and was a famous general in the last years of the Eastern Han Dynasty, who followed Liu Bei in his early years and moved from place to place.
He was once captured alive by Cao Cao and killed Yan Liang, a general of Yuan Shao, at Baima Slope, and was known as the enemy of ten thousand men along with Zhang Fei. After the Battle of Red Cliff, Liu Bei helped Zhou Yu of Eastern Wu to attack Cao Ren of Southern County.
Don't send Guan Yu to block Cao Cao's reinforcements on the northern road. After Cao Ren retreated, Guan Yu was appointed by Liu Bei as the governor of Xiangyang. When Liu Bei entered Yizhou, Guan Yu stayed in Jingzhou.
In the twenty-fourth year of Jian'an, Guan Yu besieged Xiangfan, and Cao Cao sent Yu Ban to reinforce him. Guan captured Yu Ban and killed Pound, which shook China to such an extent that Cao Cao wanted to move the capital to avoid him. After Cao Cao sent Xu Huang to reinforce him, Lu Meng of the Eastern Wu attacked Jingzhou, and Guan Yu was defeated and killed.

The legend of Guan Gong's descent to heaven is circulated in the southwest and northwest of China. It is said that Guan Gong was originally the Fire Virtue Star King in the sky, and the Jade Emperor, dissatisfied with the disrespect of the gods on earth, sent him to set fire to the homes of millions.
The God of Fire could not bear to kill innocents, so he only burned the homes of those surnamed Hundred and Ten Thousand. This was the crime of deceiving the king. The Jade Emperor was enraged and ordered Fire Virtue Star King to be beheaded.
He sent a dream to the monks in the Great Buddha Temple on earth, telling them to light nine candles at noon the next day and prepare gold pots and so on.
The next day at noon, the monks in the Great Buddha Temple lit the candles and prepared the gold pots, and waited quietly for the Fire Deity Star Sovereign to descend. Only to see three drops of blood dripping down from the sky, the monks rushed to catch them in the gold basin.
The three drops of blood fell into the gold basin and slowly grew into a blood bubble. The blood bubble grew bigger and bigger, the monk used an axe to cut it, but could not do so; he used a sword to chop it, but could not do so.
Finally took the temple in the hands of the Buddha's wooden knife, a cut in the blood bubble, only to hear a loud and clear cries from the inside, giving birth to a red-faced baby doll. This is the Fire Virtue Star King, also known as the God of Guan, who was sent down to the mortal world.
According to the record Guan Yu was born in "Huan Di Yan Xi three years (160 years) June 24". And Chongzheng two years (1629) set up in Shibanggou Guan Yu's ancestral tombs, "Ritual field monument" and the Qing dynasty Qianlong twenty-one years (1756), "Guan Di Zhi".
Both believe that Guan Yu was born in Han Huan Di Yan Xi three years (160 years) June 22nd. The "God of Guan", as he is called in folklore, is also referred to by Taiwanese believers as the "Lord of Grace", which means "Savior of the World".
In Southeast Asia, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines, and even in the United States and the United Kingdom in the Chinese region, Guan Gong's beliefs are also quite prevalent, the overseas Chinese in foreign businessmen are many, so for the god of wealth Guan Gong as a lot of worship.
The Taoist religion worships Guan Yu as "Guan Sheng Di Jun," or "Guan Di," one of the four guardians of the law in Taoism.
Shakti belief in Guan Yunchang is only limited to worship, and there is no prayer, praise, and worship rituals, while in Tibetan Buddhism, there are a number of masters for the praise of the rituals, such as Zhangjia masters, Tu Guan masters, and this time Dabao Dharma King, the Yachen Monastery, Aqiu Rinpoche, and so on.
