Guangzhou where the kapok look good
March to say to enjoy the flowers, we generally think of is the rape flowers and cherry blossoms, as well as peach blossoms, in fact, this season there is a very beautiful flowers, that is, the kapok, Guangzhou, there are many kapok blooming here, let's take a look at where it is!
Zhongshan Memorial HallWhen it comes to enjoying the kapok, most people may recommend the West Mausoleum Road and Martyrs' Cemetery at the first time, but I would recommend Zhongshan Memorial Hall first.
The Zhongshan Memorial Hall at the foot of Yuexiu Mountain is a monumental building built by the people of Guangzhou and overseas Chinese to raise funds in memory of Dr. Sun Yat-sen, designed by Mr. Lv Yanzhi, a famous architect in China, and it is a national AAAA level tourist attraction.
Guangzhou Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall is an octagonal building with a solemn and grand appearance and strong national characteristics. The designers skillfully used the structural principles of architectural mechanics, adopting a mixed structure of steel frame and reinforced concrete, without a single column in the building space with a span of 71 meters.
The roofs are all made of blue glazed tiles, and many trees and flowers have been planted in the garden.
There are a large number of cottonwood trees, there is a this tree is located in the northeast corner of the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall of the ancient tree, about 23 meters high, the crown width of 900 square meters, although the age of the old, still majestic as before. This is a tree age of 349 years of cottonwood king.
Last year, the Guangdong Provincial Forestry Department announced that the king of the kapok was selected as "China's most beautiful ancient trees" list, become the most beautiful kapok. In the spring, the king of the kapok blossoms, red and purple, a single tree into a forest, and the blue glazed tiles of the Memorial Hall.
349 years, the king of the kapok has witnessed the vicissitudes of Guangzhou's mountains, rivers, fields and oceans, and is still in full bloom, is a rare spectacle.
Yuexiu MountainYuexiu Mountain behind the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, is also a good place to enjoy the kapok, from the back door of the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall out, you can go up the mountain along the Hundred Steps of Yuexiu Mountain. Along the way, in addition to the red cottonwood, there are also pink and white bauhinia together to weave a gorgeous spring.
Many kapoks are also planted around the Zhongshan Monument on Yuexiu Mountain. The monument was built in 1929 and designed by the famous architect Lu Yanzhi. The monument is made entirely of granite, 37 meters high, with a square base, tapering upward to a smaller and more pointed point, and steps inside the monument to swing back up to the top, where the first and second tiers can be viewed from all four sides by a fence.
Higher, each layer has a window to look out. There are 26 stone sculptures of sheep's heads on the four sides of the upper level of the monument base, symbolizing the city of sheep.
The platform on which the monument stands has iron railings and is surrounded by lush trees, especially the red cottonwoods which are the most eye-catching. Dr. Sun Yat-sen Monument and the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall are located on the traditional city axis of Guangzhou City, linking together to form a majestic monument, which has become the symbol of the modern city of Guangzhou.
The Yuexiu hill of the five sheep Diaolou can be said to be the symbol of the city of sheep, in this important place, naturally, there is no shortage of city flowers cottonwood position.
In addition to the five sheep sculpture, another symbol of Guangzhou is the Zhenhai Building, located in the top of Yuexiu Hill Zhenhai Building commonly known as the five-story building, now the identity of the Guangzhou Museum, where the figure of the kapok is also not missing. When the flowers bloom, it looks like a blush for the old building, and makes the verdant Mount Yuexiu look a bit shy and cute.
At the Zhenhai Building, the blooming kapoks are close at hand, with the bustling city in the distance.
The kapok trees on Yuexiu Mountain accompany the Zhenhai Building, blossoming and falling, witnessing the growth and development of this thousand-year-old historical and cultural city.
Nong Lecture Hall (Panyu Academy)The former site of Guangzhou Farmers' Movement Seminar at No. 42 Zhongshan 4th Road was originally a Confucian temple built in the Ming Dynasty, and was renamed Panyu Academy in the Qing Dynasty. Many people always have a lot of misunderstandings when they first hear its name, not realizing that this red tourist attraction is actually an ancient building with such a cultural background.
The red cottonwood and the old school palace is so charming, look at the latticework door outside the two red cottonwood trees. The form of the branches is very beautiful.
In addition to the red cottonwood, itself, this simple and solemn old building is also worth visiting, this is a group of red walls and yellow tiles, solemn building complex. The buildings sit north to south, and are composed from south to north by the Latticework Gate, the Panchi Arch Bridge, the Dacheng Gate, the Dacheng Hall, and the Chongsheng Hall, with hipped corridors and other grand buildings on either side.
The gate is a latticed star gate carved in granite. After entering the gate is the front yard of the Panchi, Panchi center has a stone arch bridge, across the bridge is nine rows of side-by-side granite slabs paved with passages, leading to the spacious Dacheng Gate.
Passing through the Dacheng Gate, there is a lush courtyard with ancient trees such as kapok, linden, longan, and julian. The magnificent Dacheng Hall stands on a pedestal made of granite. Walk forward along the passageway on both sides of the Dacheng Hall, that is, to reach the Chongsheng Hall, there are two corridors, east and west.
Does the cottonwood that inadvertently falls on the ancient buildings make you feel a little Zen? The match between the cottonwood and the traditional architecture is so harmonized that it vaguely shows a kind of classical beauty.
Guangzhou Children's and Young People's LibraryGuangzhou Children's and Young People's Library, which is separated by a wall from the Agricultural Lecture Theater, also has a few tall cottonwoods.
When you approach the tree, you feel that the whole world is covered with cottonwood. It's as if you're walking through a cottonwood forest.
City HallThe red cottonwoods in the City Hall of the Republic of China style building, play a bright brush. Many people don't know where it is, but it's just north of People's Park in the center of the city, above Guangzhou's traditional central axis.
The yellow glazed tiles, green roof, red columns, yellow walls, white granite base of the building has a history of more than 80 years, is still the Guangzhou Municipal Government office building. It is a "hidden in the city" of modern excellent architecture, both majestic and solemn, but also elegant and harmonious, is a business card of Guangzhou city architecture.
West Mausoleum RoadMany people like to recommend the West Mausoleum Road and Martyrs' Tomb to view the cottonwoods, but due to the lack of any special building for the match, in fact, is not a place that can be out of the film.
If you want to see kapok once in March, then come to these places in Guangzhou!
