Shenzhen gankeng Hakka townlet

The Hakka town of Gankeng in Shenzhen is located in Longgang District, Shenzhen. It is a beautiful mountain village with simple folk customs.

The aborigines in Shenzhen are mainly Hakkas. In the local Hakka dialect in Shenzhen, "pit" refers to streams and ditches. Hakkas often use pit and drain together. There is a word called "pit and drop", which is called "pit and drop" because it is full of spring water and sweet stream.

Gankeng Hakka Town is a cultural tourism scenic spot built by OCT Group, which integrates local Hakka folk customs, Hakka dwellings, Hakka folk art, Hakka traditional cuisine and Hakka pastoral scenery.

Gankeng Village, which originated in Ming and Qing Dynasties, is an ancient village with a long history. Together with Guanlan Printmaking Village, Hehu New Residence, Ma Jian Village and Dawan Stone Residence, it is known as one of the top ten Hakka ancient villages in Shenzhen.

More than 350 years ago, Wen-Ming Hsieh and Zhuo Hairdressing, ancestors of Kaiji, a Hakka village in Meizhou, took a fancy to the natural environment here and settled here. Today, it is not only the experience base for exploring the Hakka culture in Shenzhen, but also the creative center of Hakka pop music in China.

In Gankeng village, there are many ancient buildings of Hakka dwellings, which are surrounded by mountains and rivers, and the houses are connected with lanes, which are scattered like a picture scroll. There are also ancient artillery buildings, Qingxin Lane, Champion House, Phoenix Valley and other customs buildings that are integrated with the landscape, forming a unique Hakka cultural carrier with hundreds of years of Hakka row houses.

In 20 16, the government signed an agreement with oct group to double the existing Hakka town in gankeng. By then, Gankeng Hakka Town will become a characteristic town with national cultural industry demonstration park, national 5A-level tourist scenic spot, national emerging industry demonstration zone, China famous historical and cultural town and six national key characteristic towns.

From 2065438 to July 2007, the Hakka town of Gankeng was selected as the first batch of national-level cultural tourism characteristic towns. 20 19- 10 was selected as the first "small town aesthetic model".
