What is riffen?

Swiss powder is the abbreviation of Swedish powder steel. Powder steel is a technology in the process of machining, which is a high-speed steel product made of high-speed steel fine powder by special method, called PMHSS for short. Because this technology is unique to Sweden, it is called Ruifen.

Powder high speed steel has the microstructure characteristics of fine carbide particles, few inclusions and uniform distribution, which greatly improves the bending strength, hardness and machinability of high speed steel.

Powder high speed steel, like traditional high speed steel, is generally divided into Mo (Mo) series and W (W) series. The difference between powder high-speed steel and traditional high-speed steel lies in the manufacturing process, and with some insufficient metal elements, it can also be smelted as required to produce steel with various elements.
