Classical music is divided into broad sense and narrow sense. Broadly speaking, it refers to western classical music created under the background of mainstream European culture since the Middle Ages. In a narrow sense, it refers to the classicism period, from1750 (J. S. Bach's death) to 1827 (Beethoven's death).
