Traditional dwellings in West Asia
Papua New Guinea is a coral island group in the southwest Pacific Ocean, with high temperature, high humidity and heavy rainfall, and most areas are covered by dense rainforests. Local residents divide tribes and villages by totem and families by matriarchal descent. A family has a hut, which is their residence. Many huts are neatly arranged in a straight line, forming a village, and the center of the village is an open space for dancing. A-type hut, up to 25 meters high, is decorated with abstract patterns on the upper part, woven with straw mats on the lower part, and gradually inclines to the ground at the back part, and the roof is covered with dense thatch.
