Can you get a fire license with a tattoo?

Chinese firefighters are generally not allowed to have tattoos. China has a "military service firefighting system" and most firefighters are active duty soldiers. According to the military service law, tattoos are not allowed, and some are government contract firefighters.

Based on China's relevant laws, tattoos are allowed for firefighters, but there are certain conditions. Firefighters belong to the People's Armed Police of China, belonging to the army soldiers, conscripts should meet the relevant physical examination standards, such as face and neck tattoos, tattoos in the wearing of the army standard physical training uniforms exposed part of the tattoo up to 3 centimeters and other parts of the tattoo up to 10 centimeters. (c) volunteer to join the national comprehensive fire rescue team;

(d) aged 18 years old or older, 24 years old or younger;

(e) have a high school or above literacy;

(vi) physical and mental health;

(vii) good character;

(viii) other conditions stipulated by laws and regulations.

Article 11

Tattoos on the face and neck, tattoos on other exposed parts of the body that are more than 3cm in length in the military-standard physical training uniforms, tattoos on other parts of the body that are more than 10cm in length, tattoos on the eyebrows, eye liner, and lips of men, and tattoos on the lips of women, shall not be qualified. The first two are unqualified.
