Traditional festival handwriting
Traditional festivals are created by Chinese paper-cutting, which is a kind of folk art that uses scissors or carving knives to cut and carve patterns on paper to decorate life or cooperate with other folk activities. In China, paper-cutting has a broad mass base and is integrated into the social life of people of all ethnic groups. It is an important part of various folk activities. It contains rich cultural and historical information, expresses the social cognition, life ideal and aesthetic taste of the general public, and has multiple social values such as cognition, education, expression, entertainment and communication.
On May 20th, 2006, the paper-cut art heritage was approved by the State Council to be included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage list. At the fourth meeting of the UNESCO Intergovernmental Committee for the Protection of Intangible Cultural Heritage held from September 28th to June 54381October 2nd, 2009, China announced that the Chinese paper-cutting project was included in the "Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity".
