I. Introduction of Coatings

When light enters different transfer substances (such as air entering glass), about 5% will be reflected. There are many lenses and refractors in the optical sight, which can make the incident light lose 30% to 40%. Modern optical lenses are usually coated with single or multi-layer antireflection films of magnesium fluoride. Single-layer antireflection film can reduce the reflection to 1.5%, and multi-layer antireflection film can reduce the reflection to 0.25%. Therefore, if the whole sight is properly coated, the light transmittance can reach 95%. Lenses coated with a single antireflection film are usually blue-purple or red, while lenses coated with multiple antireflection films are light green or deep purple.

Second, the coating principle

Coating is mainly to reduce reflection. In order to improve the transmittance and imaging quality of the lens, it is necessary to coat the lens in modern lens manufacturing technology. According to the principle of optical interference, a layer of substance (usually fluoride) with a thickness of quarter wavelength is coated on the lens to minimize the reflection of colored light at this wavelength.

Obviously, a single film can only work on one color of light, while a multi-layer film can work on multiple colors of light. Multilayer coating usually uses different materials to repeatedly coat films with different thicknesses on the lens surface. Multilayer coating can greatly improve the transmittance of lenses. For example, the reflectivity of each surface of uncoated lens is 5%, which is reduced to 2% after single-layer coating, and can be reduced to 0.2% after multi-layer coating. This can greatly reduce the diffuse reflection between the lenses of the lens, thus improving the contrast and clarity of the image.

Three. Precautions for coating

The body temperature after painting should not be too high (above 30). Construction should be carried out in a professional construction workshop. When there is a sandstorm, pay attention to the sealing of the room. After the coating construction is completed, the vehicle should not be exposed to the sun to prevent the drug layer from melting. The coating should be thin and uniform, and pay attention to work clothes and cuffs. It is forbidden to step on the medicine on the door frame. It is forbidden to wipe the car body in time when the car body, exterior decoration, glass and rubber parts are stained with drugs. Some cars don't wash their cars within 7 days after painting.
