The color of white glazed celadon tires in Gongxian kiln in Tang Dynasty

Gongxian kiln was founded in Han Dynasty, burned in Sui and Tang Dynasties and declined in Song and Jin Dynasties. The kiln site was found in 1956. Located in Huangye Village, Blacksmith Furnace Village, Baihe Township, Gongxian County, Henan Province. The kiln site in Huangye Village is mainly white porcelain, followed by tricolor pottery. Blacksmith Furnace Village mainly burns white porcelain. The utensils fired in Baihe Township are basically the same as those in Huangye. The porcelain tires of Gongxian kiln are delicate and pure white and gray. Both the inside and outside of the vessel are glazed, the vessel is full of glaze, and some outside the vessel are not glazed near the bottom.

During the Sui and Tang Dynasties, Gongxian kiln had the best white porcelain, the most gorgeous tricolor, the most unique tire grinder and the most novel blue-and-white kiln mouth in Tang Dynasty.

Gongxian Kiln is an important porcelain kiln in Tang Dynasty, located in Gongxian County, Henan Province. Kiln burning began in Sui Dynasty, flourished in Tang Dynasty and declined in the early Five Dynasties. During the Kaiyuan period, tribute porcelain was burned for the imperial court.
