What is the origin and history of Hanbok?
Hanbok is the native clothing of the Korean nation from the ancient Silla Kingdom and Goryeo Kingdom on the Korean Peninsula to the Chosun Dynasty period, and it was developed through the continuous "localization of the nation" after being greatly influenced by the Chinese Hanbok. The costume was developed through a process of "nationalization" after being greatly influenced by the Chinese Hanbok (traditional Chinese dress). It first took shape during the period of the Wang's Goryeo Dynasty, and after that, it continued to incorporate the characteristics of Chinese costumes from various periods, and finally took shape at the beginning of the Joseon Dynasty era (1392-1910 AD).
In Korea, hanbok is considered to have three main beauties: the curve of the sleeve, the white half-breast, and the shape of the skirt. The lines of hanbok are both curvy and straight, especially the short tops and long skirts of women's hanbok, which are thin at the top and thick at the bottom, and the white silk stockings, which are light and airy, are dignified and elegant. Hanbok is not only beautiful but also practical with the ancient philosophy.
Overall Characteristics of Hanbok
After moving to China, the Korean people's costumes are mostly based on Korean folk costumes, and there are daily clothes, ceremonial clothes (wedding, funeral, rituals, etc.), and special clothes (dance clothes, agricultural music clothes, etc.) and other clothes. The Korean people are fond of plain white clothes, so they are called "white-clothed nation", and their clothes are characterized by slanting lapels, no buttons, and knots with long cloth belts.

Men's clothing is a short top, plus a kangaroo, with wide-legged pants, and when they go out they tend to wear robes with slanted lapels and knotted cloth bands, converted uniforms or western-style clothes.
Girls and young women's dresses, colorful and bright, with strong national characteristics, children's blouse sleeves with "seven-color satin" (seven colors matching the silk satin) do material, wear up like a rainbow in the body. Young women and girls in the jacket cuffs and lapels set with brightly colored satin edges, ribbons are also made of red, purple, blue and other satin.
Elderly women like to wear white dresses, and used to use white cloth to wrap their heads, and in winter, they wear a sweater as the lining, satin as the surface of the shoulders, and middle-aged and elderly women wear more wrapped skirts, not tube skirts. The Korean people wore wooden clogs and leather shoes in the early days, and later they also wore straw shoes, hemp shoes, rubber shoes, and generally wore cloth and rubber shoes or leather shoes.
