Meaning of Vernal Equinox: Equal division of spring, with day and night almost equal.

The vernal equinox is one of the twenty-four solar terms and is the midpoint of the ninety days of spring. In ancient times, it was also known as "the middle of the day", "day and night", "the month of mid-spring", around March 21st (20th -22nd) every year, the festival, the date of the lunar calendar is not fixed. The lunar date is not fixed.

The equinox is a day when the sun shines directly on the equator and day and night are almost equal, after which the direct sunlight gradually shifts northward, and the day begins to be longer and the night shorter. Chinese ancients divided the fifteen days of the spring equinox into three seasons: "The first seasons of the Xuanbird arrives; the second seasons of the thunder is sound; and the third seasons of the beginning of the electricity." It says that after the spring equinox, swallows, that is, the Xuanbird, will fly from the south, and when it rains, the sky will thunder and lightning.
