How many meters is the mixed competition distance for recurve bows
The mixed competition distance for a recurve bow is 30 meters.
A recurve bow is a bow that looks different from a normal longbow from the side: an unstrung recurve bow has its arms bent outward at the end. The difference between a recurve bow and a non-reverse bow in the broadest sense is whether or not the bow arm bends in the opposite direction after the bow is strung.
There is an argument to be made that the bowstring is in contact with the arm when the recurve is strung, but not all recurve bows are strung with the arm when they are strung in a traditional bow, so the string-on-arm criterion doesn't accurately differentiate between recurve bows. Nowadays, the term "recurve" is more narrowly used to refer to modern competitive recurve bows.
A recurve bow can store more energy than an equivalent bow with a straight arm, resulting in a higher kinetic energy of the shot. As a result, recurve bows can be built shorter than normal bows, yet maintain their power. This advantage makes the recurve bow suitable for use in places where longer weapons would pose an inconvenience, such as jungles, forests, or on horseback.
Recurve Bow Assembly Process:
With a recurve bow, the handle is usually a piece of wood or, more commonly nowadays, a piece of metal. Usually, nowadays, there are two screw fasteners on the back of the bow handle to adjust the position of the tension of the bow piece, or you can add some parts.
The two screw fasteners are one on top of the other, at each end of the grip. If you take the centers of these two screws as two points, their line is the centerline of the bow. Later, the upper and lower bow blades, the bowstring, and even the initial adjustment of the arrow will all be on this line.
There are two types of bow blades mounted on the bow handle. In the first, the bow blade is screwed to the bow handle by two large screws, and when they are screwed in place, they cannot be moved or adjusted.
The second situation is more common, the bow blade is stuck on the bow handle. The U-shaped slot at the end of the bow blade, together with the nut on the bow handle (like a big dial) is able to swing within a certain range. This makes the adjustment of the bow blade possible. Also this dial nut on the bow handle can raise or lower the bow tension within 2-4 pounds.
