Does the separation of people and vehicles include electric vehicles?
The separation of pedestrians and vehicles mainly refers to the separation of pedestrians from motor vehicles in order to reduce traffic accidents and improve the safety of pedestrians. This is usually achieved by setting up special sidewalks, pedestrian zones or footbridges in road design. However, this diversion is mainly aimed at motor vehicles, such as cars and motorcycles. Electric vehicles, especially electric bicycles and motorcycles, are also motor vehicles, but many times they are not strictly included in the category of separation of people and vehicles.
The speed and size of electric vehicles are usually smaller than those of traditional vehicles, which makes it possible to share some space with pedestrians in some cases. Therefore, the diversion of people and vehicles does not completely include electric vehicles.
