Army Founding Day is August 1st.

August 1 is the anniversary of the founding of the People's Liberation Army (PLA), designated as the first day of August each year, and was established by the People's Revolutionary Military Committee of the People's Republic of China (PRC) to commemorate the founding of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army.
