China Folk Artists Association Xiuzhou Peasant Painting

With their hobbies, life experiences and the pursuit of painting art, a group of farmers who have not studied professionally have created gouache paintings that reflect modern rural life and are full of local flavor. Some people call it "peasant painting", some people call it "modern folk painting" and some people call it "local folk painting". These paintings have gone abroad several times and become messengers of foreign exchanges, stunning the world; It has been collected by China Art Museum for many times and has become a member of China's outstanding works of art. This is the first batch of "Hometown of Modern Folk Paintings in China" named by the Ministry of Culture-"Peasant Paintings" created by farmers in Xiuzhou District, Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province.

Xiuzhou farmers' paintings fully express the author's praise for farmers' labor in Jiangnan water towns, eulogize the fiery life, have a strong local flavor, and show the spirit of contemporary farmers to strive for progress.

Over the past 26 years, Xiuzhou District, Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province has created more than 3,000 peasant paintings, which have been selected for more than 800 national exhibitions and won more than 200 awards. More than 40 paintings were collected by China Art Museum, Central Academy of Fine Arts, Zhejiang Group Art Museum and other units and international friends/kloc-0, and successively published Xiuzhou Peasant Painting, Pastoral Art and Xiu Xiu. At the same time, exhibitions were held in Australia, the United States, Japan, Canada and Germany 13 countries, and more than 3,000 works were exhibited overseas, which was widely praised by international friends and became a new landscape for China's foreign cultural exchange.
