It feels like Chinese people are still stuck in ancient times
Everyone is exposed to the outside world differently and perceives the world differently. Including you and I and your mouth thinking is still ancient people.
Traditionally the old, young and poor areas have less exposure to the outside world, relatively traditional thinking, the older generation is even feudal, now it is much better.
Confucianism ruled the minds of the nation for 2,000 years, so every aspect of the influence is deep in the marrow. I don't think the so-called ancient times are anything bad. There is a lot of good heritage in ancient times too. Modernity isn't necessarily all good either, except that it just happens to be appropriate for survival in this day and age.
Aren't Europeans ancient? Why do they pine for so-called bloodlines and families. Americans would like to have a deep heritage, but unfortunately they only have a few hundred years of history, and until World War II, they were just barbarians thugs in the eyes of Europeans. Are Koreans modern? Why are they repeatedly out to scramble for China's non-heritage culture.
We need to learn more about China's thousands of years of excellent heritage, and we also need to see more of the world in order to draw advanced knowledge.
