What are the shortcomings of conventional drilling fluids
The so-called conventional drilling fluids are mainly conventional polymer drilling fluids and in a few cases, poly-sulfur drilling fluids.
The main defect of the former is that it has poor resistance to high temperature and salt, and it is mainly used in the Tertiary and above formations. When drilling in formations or interbedded strata with serious block fall and sudden collapse, its suspension and carrying capacity is poor or helpless, and the probability of complicated accidents is very high;
The latter refers to the high Sakan content. When entering the formation below 2000, the Saka content begins to accumulate, and excessive removal of Saka content or use of solid control equipment will again appear to reduce the structural strength of the drilling fluid.
