Are all Singaporeans from China or immigrants from other countries?

Historically, Singaporeans actually immigrated to the past. Most of them come from China, but also from Malays, Indians and other countries.

In the past, China people immigrated to Singapore, mostly from the south, mainly from Guangdong, Hainan and Fujian. Now there may be more skilled and investment immigrants, regardless of region.

However, all China people who immigrate to Singapore will no longer be willing to call themselves China people. In fact, their nationality is no longer China, so they are really not from China.

Singaporeans are generally divided into Chinese, Malays, Indians and a few other immigrants.

The official language of Singapore is English, but Mandarin, Malay and Hindi are also common. In recent years, the government began to promote Chinese, saying that "speaking Chinese is a blessing." Because they find that there are more and more development opportunities in China, speaking Chinese is beneficial to the development of their country.

But Chinese has also been deformed in Singapore, just like English in Singapore, which will be mixed with many dialects, Malay and Hindi.

When I was in Singapore, my colleagues in the company all spoke Chinese, and their compositions were also very interesting: Malaysian Chinese, about 30 years old, could speak Chinese but could not write; Indonesian Chinese are sixty or seventy years old and can speak but not write; Chinese Singaporeans, middle-aged and elderly, can generally speak and write, but they are still used to using English, and they also want me to speak English when communicating with them. Malays are about 40 years old and look like Indians. They can only speak Malay and English.
