Manufacturing technology of reed stalk
1. Material preparation: The main materials for making Lusheng are reeds and bamboo. First, we need to collect fresh reeds and dry them for later use. Bamboo needs to be tough and delicate.
2. Making flute tube: firstly, peel the reed, and then cut one end of the reed into an inclined plane with a knife to form a flute mouth. Next, according to the required tone and range, the hollow part of the reed is divided into paragraphs with different lengths.
3. Tuning: After cutting, grind each reed with sandpaper to make its surface smooth, and then trim the bevel of the flute mouth with a knife to make it produce accurate tone.
4. Making flute body: Take a slender bamboo tube, insert it into the bamboo tube one by one according to the length of each reed, and glue and fix it separately to form the flute body.
5. Decoration: The made Lusheng can be decorated, such as carving some patterns on the flute, or decorating it with red ropes and scarves.
6. Debugging: After the production is completed, use the mouthpiece to blow air into the mouthpiece, and debug the timbre and sound quality of Lusheng by adjusting the size and blowing intensity of the mouthpiece and the length of the bamboo tube.
7. Adjustment: There may be some shortcomings in the initial production of Lusheng, which requires repeated debugging and trimming to get the ideal timbre and sound quality.
Lu Sheng's introduction:
Lusheng is a Lusheng musical instrument of Miao, Yao and Dong nationalities in southwest China. Originated in the Central Plains, it was later introduced into minority areas, and its predecessor was Yu of the Han nationality. Villages inhabited by ethnic minorities all over Guizhou are known as "the hometown of Lusheng" and "the hometown of singing and dancing" and are one of the favorite musical instruments of ethnic minorities. On holidays, they will hold various colorful Lusheng parties, play Lusheng and dance to celebrate their national festivals.
Lusheng, as a musical instrument, has its own unique musical rules and dance forms. Lusheng can be divided into two types: light-tone Lusheng and stressed Lusheng. The modes are "56 1235" and "6 12356". The stressed Lusheng is deep and loud, while the soft Lusheng is light and high. The use of its musical tunes is very strict, which can be roughly divided into three categories: sacrifice, lyric and narrative.
"Sacrifice" is mainly used for funeral sacrifices, with 360 songs * * *, and "Lyric" is mainly used for auspicious scenes such as stepping on Huashan Mountain, but the wedding music of Wenshan Miao Lusheng has been lost due to the continuous migration in history; The narrative part mainly tells the history, stories and legends of Miao nationality.
